Nesha Narain, Senior Policy Advisor Circular Food System
Nesha is a passionate advocate for transforming our food system and advancing a circular economy. As a Senior Policy Advisor for Circular Food System at the City of Amsterdam, he drafts policies and leads initiatives to reduce food waste and foster a healthy, fair and sustainable food system. Working at the intersection of the city’s Circular Economy and Food Strategy teams, his work drives critical transitions in the city’s approach to food. Nesha is also the sector lead for food and agriculture within the “Klimaat en Energiekoepel”, a network of young professionals committed to fighting climate change. He represented the network at the national youth platform “Groenpact” and co-authored a ‘food letter’ presented to the Minister of Agriculture. Previously, Nesha worked as a strategy consultant at Strategy& and he holds a Master’s in Chemistry, focused on energy and sustainability.
