Rosa van den Ede
PhD candidate in Mathematical Climate Policy
Rosa is currently a PhD candidate in Mathematical Climate Policy at Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She graduated in Theoretical Physics, but she felt like that was not allowing her to understand and solve the societal and environmental crises we are currently facing. She thus decided to switch discipline and porsue a double doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics. In her research, she used game theory and network theory to answer the question on how to share climate change mitigation efforts in a fair and effective manner. Moreover, she tried to bridge the gap between science and society by translating theory into righteous and concrete policies.
