Tessa switched from a career in venture capital to the food industry just two years ago. An enriching experience at cooking school on an organic, fully circular farm in Ireland made her decide to commit to a sustainable food transition. Her background in business and finance and great pasion for food come together in Finance & Food. Among others, she works on food innovation discovering food purposes for new ingredients like protein from grass. In the Net Positive Network (Deloitte) she is the driving force in bringing together influential leaders on the topic of protein transition. Besides being a chef de parti at Foer Amsterdam, she is the strategic right hand of the head chef and owner of the restaurant. Moreover, she hosts B2B impact diners where not only beautiful food but also inspiring stories are shared. With these and many more projects – from the kitchen to big scale corporates – she strives to inspire and mobilise people for better and more conscious food consumption.
