Maria has been Director-Director at MVO Nederland, Europe’s largest sustainable business network, since 2016 and focuses with its 2,000 partners and 50 employees on accelerating the new economy that is climate neutral, circular and inclusive with fair trade chains. Maria has 35 years of experience in various sectors of the Dutch and international business community in both large and medium-sized companies. As CEO Maria is experienced and skilled in stakeholder management, governance, earning models, social entrepreneurship and marketing. In addition to the traditional profit and loss account, entrepreneurship is about creating value for people and the environment. Maria thinks and acts in the interest of clients by concretely working on corporate social responsibility. Maria’s work includes board positions at Women on Wings and De Normaalste Zaak. She chairs the Supervisory Board of Rabobank West-Brabant Noord and is a supervisory director of Het Groene Brein.
